Ecofit

Ecofit aims to increase physical activity levels and improve health through the use of local parks and outdoor exercise facilities.

This project was developed to investigate the effectiveness of ecofit for the whole community across Lake Macquarie and Newcastle. The findings were used to help guide future designs of services and infrastructure provided by local councils. 

Working with Headjam, the project was built in partnership with Lake Macquarie City Council and Newcastle City Council. Part of the research conducted examined the added benefit that having access to the Ecofit app had on the level of activity people engage in.
