The Gruen Pitch
In 2019, Headjam was invited to produce a 30 second commercial for a segment on ABCs ‘The Gruen’, called “The Pitch”. The segment pits two competing agencies against each other, justifying the position that Australians should/should NOT celebrate Halloween.
Acknowledging that most entries trended towards live-action productions, we decided to use a ‘stop-motion’ style animation as our tool to communicate something a little different and unique to the panel of judges.
I was tasked with creating storyboards and illustrating all scenes within a rapid 1 week delivery from concept to the nationally televised product. The result was a winner, with three of the four judges deciding it was the most compelling of the two submissions.
